In this project a consortium of knowledge institutes and businesses is investigating the feasibility of growing duckweed at flower bulb hatcheries, who's greenhouses are empty for part of the year. To this end various growth experiments are performed at Aeres University of applied sciences in Dronten. As an expert in growing aquatic crops deBaai provides starting material, knowledge and growing advice to the project partners.
